Florida Facts

Yes, we have ticks in Florida. Yes, they carry Lyme and other nasty diseases. Yes, we need educated health care professionals to treat the growing number of patients who are exposed to these diseases.

People residing in the sunshine state who have contracted Lyme and tick borne diseases are often misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia, Lupus, MS, Parkinson's, ALS, depression, anxiety disorder, chronic fatigue, arthritis and other "rare" or immune-related conditions. They often must travel out-of-state to find educated doctors who can help them. And yes, people are becoming chronically ill, disabled and some are dying due to a delayed diagnosis and inadequate treatment for Lyme disease.
